Camp Kelly for Two Leggeds

Dates: Oct 9-12 and November 13-16th

Cost: $650- includes stabling, training and meals

Day 1:
Arrival by 6 (later if necessary)! Settle horses in, have a great at Looking Glass Farm!

Day 2:
Breakfast at the house in the morning at 8:30 (so feed and take care of horses before).
8:30-9:30 As we have breakfast, we will discuss our outline for the day.

Topics that I am thinking of for first day:
– Creating Connection and Calm Online to the Saddle through ground exercises that promote stretch/posture activation/ developing topline and keep the mental and emotional connection.
– Riding… Connecting the ground to the saddle be seeing how you do these online stretch/posture activation exercises in the saddle, too!

1:00 Lunch.

Start lessons at 2:00.

Lessons will be private and run 50 minutes.

7:00 Dinner and discussion of Day.

Day 3:
Breakfast at the house in the morning at 8:30 (so feed and take care of horses before).
8:30-9:30 As we have breakfast, we will discuss our outline for the day.

Topics that I am thinking of for first day:
– We will start online reviewing the exercises from yesterday. We will build on those then- if ready- some could try in one of the round pens at liberty.
– Riding…Reviewing the connection of the ground to the saddle exercises… start doing them on patterns to make it more interesting for you and the horse!

7:00 Dinner and discussion of Day.

Day 4:
Breakfast at the house in the morning at 7:45 (so feed and take care of horses before).
8:30, we will go begin lessons in the morning. We will be done with lessons by 12:15. I will have sandwiches for lunch out around 11, so people can just grab one, and at 12:30 we will load horses up and head to Hitchcock for a group lesson/ ride!
We will be home 7, and will have dinner when we get back.

Day 5:
Breakfast at the house in the morning at 7:45 (so feed and take care of horses before).
8:30, we will go begin lessons in the morning. We will be done with lessons by 12:15. I will have sandwiches for lunch out around 11, so people can just grab one, again. This way, everyone can get on the road by noon. Those with longer drives can do their lessons first so they can leave earlier.

Please let me know if you would like to add anything to the itinerary- of course, in your lesson, we can work on whatever you need to for your horsemanship!

I will also set up some of the yoga swings if anyone is interested in getting in and having a brief lesson!
